Rashidi has translated dozens of literary, political, and social articles into Kurdish. He has also published articles on Kurdistan and global politics in prominent international magazines and newspapers. In addition, he has translated the following four books into Kurdish: It Is Always the Height of Summer in Africa, The Principles of a Democratic State, Peaceful and Civil Struggle, and Women’s Rights, Human Rights.

He wrote an article titled “What Do the Kurds Want, and Why Are They Oppressed?” for the book Contemporary Social Issues, which was published in the United States in English and Persian.

In 2018, the President of the United States addressed Rashidi as “Mr. Kurd.” Subsequently, because of the impact of this nickname, the online newspaper The Washington Free Beacon named him “2018 Man of the Year.”

In June 2019, the BasNews news agency wrote the following about Rashidi:

“Rahim Rashidi is one of the most active and passionate Kurdish journalists, with roots in the Kurdish national and democratic movement, and lives in the United States. Rashidi is an exemplary Kurdish activist and a model journalist who consistently defends the interests of the Kurdish nation. He is a powerful voice advocating for the Kurdish struggle within prominent American decision-making centers and institutions, diplomatic circles, and international media. In recent years, he has won over dozens of political figures and human rights activists as supporters of the Kurdish nation’s legitimate cause and the interests of Kurdistan. In particular, he has sparked discussions about the independence of Southern Kurdistan in American media and social groups. Wherever he appears, he does so as a longstanding defender of his people’s rights. He has interviewed dozens of international figures about the Kurds and Kurdistan and has become a popular figure among his people. Such individuals are a source of pride for their nation. History will remember them favorably, and their memory will endure for generations.”

Mr. Kurd currently serves as the Washington, D.C., bureau chief for Kurdistan24 and Kurdistan Television. He also oversees the activities of Zagros Television’s Arabic department. Rashidi is also a member of the Gold Institute for International Strategy and an adviser to several companies and institutions in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Kurd also heads the Office of International Relations of the Kurdistani Diaspora Confederation. (KDC)
